On October 27th, he boarded a plane in Denver and set out on a life-changing journey. Just a day later, he touched down in Manila, Philippines— the first step toward building his next great adventure.

💍 It’s No Longer Just Capt Jim
After more than15 years of friendship, Jim’s journey took a beautiful new turn.
Upon his arrival in Manila, he proposed to his longtime friend and wonderful partner,Adela— and she said yes! ❤️
The couple spent a week in the city completing documents at the U.S. Embassy, then traveled north to their new home inPangil, Currimao, Ilocos Norte— where a new chapter begins, both in life and love.

💒 It’s Wedding Planning Time!
After arriving at their new home in Pangil, Ilocos Norte on November 3rd,Jim and Adela wasted no time diving into preparations for their November 20th wedding— a celebration of love that’s been years in the making.
But they’re not stopping there. Alongside wedding plans, the couple is already:
🌴 Researching land opportunities for their future glamping resort
🚙 Searching for a reliable vehicle to explore Northern Luzon
🇵🇭 And helping Jim settle into his exciting new Philippine lifestyle
The warm welcome from friends, neighbors, and the entire Barangay Pangil community has been truly heart-touching — a reminder that home isn’t just a place, it’s the people who make you feel you belong.
